Get to Know Me
Hello! I'm Martha and I am the Owner -Operator of Lash Envy Boise.
I opened my studio in 2016, after graduating from Oliver Finley Academy.
Growing up, I don’t even think I knew what an esthetician was, or what they did. It's funny how life has a way to lead us right to where we are supposed to be.
In 2015, I found myself working as a Property Manager. I had been working in the field for 10 years and I was drained. I was coming up on my 31st birthday, and the idea that I had no real career really freaked me out. I had to make a change. Within a week I was enrolled in the esthetics program at Oliver Finley.
While I was in school, I found extensions to be a lot more difficult to master than I initially expected. It was slow, meticulous work that quite literally involved splitting hairs. And I frickin' LOVED it! Before long, I was taking my first certification class with a local instructor, and practicing on all of my girlfriends in the evenings and weekends. As you can imagine, I became very popular among my friends, and soon their friends started asking me for lashes too. It was exciting.
I didn't plan on becoming a lash artist, or operating a lash studio, but I was addicted to the artistry and the smiles on my clients faces when they saw themselves in the mirror for the first time.
Before I was a lash artist I was a mother. I have two incredible kids, Jackson age 10 and Isabel 15, and they are my world. I have been happily married for 16 years. I followed my husband to Texas after he graduated from Air Force boot camp, only days after graduating from High school. Within a year, we had our first baby. After a handful of military moves, two dogs and a cat later, we are so happy to be back home in Idaho.
My hobbies include gardening and raising plants like they’re my children. Plants of any kind, I want them all. In the summer, I love to spend any available time in my garden trying to grow vegetables. I love re-watching old TV shows like The Office, and Parks and Recreation.
I listen to a broad range of music, but I will always love the 90's hip hop. My love language is food, especially tacos and coffee.
Enough about me, we can get to know each other better at your next appointment while we make your lashes (or your permanent makeup) dreams come true!
